Abstract
In this chapter, the relations between the comical and the sacred in bilingual medieval Easter plays (in Czech or German and Latin) are analysed - primarily in the Old Czech "Mastičkář" (Unguentarius), and in German Plays from Redentin, Innsbruck and Vienna.
