Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse the historical development of the international protection of the climate and the Paris Agreement. This article describes the negotations leading to the adoption of the Agreement as well as the following measures, an emphasis is placed on the requirements of the Parties' nationally determined contributions.
Finally, the article analyses the ability of the contributions to reach the aims of the Agreement.
