Abstrakt
The article deals with the issue of environmental migration triggered by climate change with a special emphasis on its prevention through adaptation to climate change impacts. First of all, it presents the issue of environmental migration and its scope, and briefly reflects on related problems.
Afterwards it focuses on environmental migration caused by climate change and presents various scenarios of environmental migration proposed by W. Kälin.
In the third part, the article deals with the issue of prevention of environmental migration and its unfavourable impacts with an emphasis on adaptation to climate change impacts. Adaptation is divided into three areas: assistance in the most vulnerable areas, protection of state's own population and further education of the population.
