Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) inchildhood and adolescence, with an increased risk among patients with immunodeficiency. Given therarity and lack of any prospective trials, reliable data on PCNSL are lacking, with most data coming fromcase reports or small series.
Thus, 2 of the largest childhood NHL consortia, the European Intergroup forChildhood Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (EICNHL) and the international Berlin-Frankfurt-M unster (i-BFM)Group, as well as selected North American centers, designed a retrospective multinational study onpediatric PCNSL. Here, we present data from the largest series of pediatric patients with PCNSLreported to date.
