Abstract
Nowadays diuretics have a solid place in the therapy of arterial hypertension. While choosing a diuretic we choose one that in addition to the antihypertensive effect brings some benefit to our patient.
Ideally, they are metabolically neutral or even positive. In therapy of arterial hypertension, combination therapy is often necessary and ideally to improve the compliance of our patients in the form of fixed combinations.
In these days two or three-combination fixed therapy is available. The molecule, that practically meets all these aspects, is indapamide.
