The texts focuses on sugar factory in Gorna Oryahovitsa in northern Bulgaria, that was founded and run by Czech colonists. It was founded in 1912 by Ing.

Pícka. It was one of the prominent examples of the Czech contribution in the industrial development of the country after its liberation.

The factory was nationalized in 1948.
