Abstract

This thesis is focused on the development of pre-literacy of preschool children. Emphasis is placed on motivation and work with reading strategies that facilitate children 's perception of the text, activate them to reflect on the content and derive information essential for their future life.

The publication presents methodological procedures implemented in selected kindergartens, supplemented by observations by experienced teachers.
