Promoting German as a foreign language in the Czech Republic: Theoretical preconditions and practical consequencies

Abstract

The chapter is devoted to theoretical as well as practical questions concerning the current position of German in the Czech Republic. It identifies the areas in the educational policy in which promoting German could be efficient.
