Metal-organic frameworks as materials for applications in sensors

Abstrakt

The present review covers applications of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) in sensors. Particular attention is paid to gas sensors, since MOFs have demonstrated a good selectivity towards the adsorption of gas molecules.

The applications of MOFs as pre-concentrators of the compounds to be analyzed are also outlined. Two modes of operation can be used in the considered sensors: photoluminescent and electrochemical ones.
