The paper deals with the issue of further education and development of teachers in the Czech Republic. The text analyzes the current state and possibilities of development of the teaching profession, motivational tools of education, socio-economic factors influencing the school climate, including legislative regulation and evaluation of educational results in international comparison.
Furthermore, changes in the modelling of basic and secondary education curriculum are identified, with an emphasis on determinants influencing the course and outcomes of formal education, i.e. the Education 4.0 paradigm, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, digitization, globalization and transformation of society as a result of European integration.
