Abstract
Reading the first novel of Anna Cima Probudím se na Šibuji (I Will Wake up at Shibuya) as well as putting it into the context of other prosaic debuts of 2018 and 2019 is the main focus of our article. It si built on some aspects of analysis of the novel (the narrator, language, intertextuality, motifs).
Besides these aspects, we analyse the features of the genre. The form of university novel in current Czech prose is also taken into consideration.
