Seventy years of development and production of electron microscopes in CSR - brunensis singulatity

Abstract

The first electron microscope in Czechoslovakia was constructed shortly after the war (10 years after the first comercial microscope from Siemens) by the group of Ales Blaha in Brno. The EM industry then steadily grew in Brno until the current share of about one third of the world-wide production.

The paper briefly describes this successful story.
