Abstract

The publication "What the Bulgarians Laugh at" presents examples of folklore and literary texts featuring popular Bulgarian folklore characters and stereotypes. There are anecdotes and jokes about Chytar Petar, Baj Gaňo, Šopi, Gabrovci, etc.

The book is a bilingual Czech-Bulgarian. The introduction is a short study of humoristic aspects of Bulgarian oral narratives.
