Abstract
This publication focuses on the activities of Laterna Magika (especially between 1958 and 1992). The book processes film materials related to this unique artistic project from both private and public collections, written archives and interviews with contemporary witnesses.
The monograph is divided into three chapters - these do not present a chronological history of Laterna Magika but rather gradually reveal particular thematic layers and show the theatre as a complex phenomenon affected by many cultural, political, technical and ideological transformations of its era.
