Abstract
The book takes as its subject the formation of organized civil society in the Czech Republic in the 1990s through the perspecvite of narratives of its participants. It deals with the issues of continuity and discontinuity of the development of the civic sector, its visions and dilemmas, as they are nowadays constructed by the actors of buildig of the "new" civic sector.
