Abstract

Recently, in relation to contracts for the supply or service of information systems, cyber security and its rules to ensure their security have been very often covered by the liable entities concerned (see below). Although ZKB [Act No. 181/2014 Coll., On Cyber Security and on Amendments to Related Acts, as amended] has been there for quite a long time, it has suffered a similar fate to the rules on the handling of personal data - it was noticed only due to becoming a part of framework of EU legislation and and due to substantial increase in sanctions for non-compliance with the requirements of the law.

In the next episode of our series we will focus on ZKB issues and practical aspects of its projection into contractual relations.
