Abstract

The paper analyses similarities and differences between "new curricula" of 1960s and 1970s and contemporary post-Bernsteinian theory of knowledge in the social realist approach or recent proposals for "knowledge rich" education. We address the question what did we learn about the life cycle of curriculum reforms.
