The study revives the playful translation process of Frigyes Karinthy based on student verse translation. Two short poems will be presented: a Czech contemporary childern's poem by Radek Malý and S ándor Weöres' Énhasadás.
R. Malý's text was translated into different languages, while Énhasadás only into the Czech language.
The presented examples also show the more general tendencies of verse translation: enlargement (more syllables) and the increase of expressivenes and emotional tone.
