Abstract
Through more than 40 years I regularly met Václav Huňáček, associate profesor at the Faculty of Arts - firstly as my teacher at the Department of translation and interpreting studies, then as a tourist during summer and winter holidays and finally as my colleague at the Institute of Translation Studies. This testimony describes some interesting and significant moments of this long period.
