Abstrakt
The ascent of the new royal line, regained political and economic stability of the country and founding of the new royal cemetery at Abusir offered Sahure an opportunity to rethink the concept of the royal tomb. An important role in his considerations played the culminating sun cult and its interconnection with the royal funerary cult.
These considerations resulted in significant modifications of the plan of the king's pyramid complex, which are discussed in detail in the article.
