Colloquium on Religious Ethnocentrism

Publication

Abstract

Concept of Religious Ethnocentrism seeks to register an emic idea that some religious cultures are entrusted an exceptional role in religious history of humankind. This idea can be found in Israel as well as in some new religious movements (e. g.

Korean Unification Church or the Grail movement). In contrast to the concept of religious nationalism, religious ethnocentrism lacks radical negative demarcation in relation to other cultures.
