THis chapter explores two exhibitions organized at the Prague Casrle as part of the official re-start of Czech-Chinese relations placing them within the broader framework of Xi Jinping era cultural diplomacy. It presents ideological background, institutions and practices.

Also touches upon the question of selfpresentation of Chinese art and histroy internationally.
