Abstrakt
Metalanguage operators in political discourse are called upon to intensify the meaning of the utterance, enhancing the pragmatic effect on the recipient. With the help of metalanguage comments, a politician is able to show his attitude to an object or phenomenon, enrich his speech with additional meanings, express thoughts in a rude or soft form, refer to an authoritative source of information, and also indicate belonging to a particular linguistic and cultural community.
