Abstract
The paper describes reasons for development of a system covering as much as possible of information needs of non-government public archive in Czech Republic. This year Charles University iniciated a development of archival information system integrating a tools for memory heritage management with no regard to its physical form.
The system includes tools for digital objects storage and long-term preservation as well. The paper introduces a system architecture and concept of digital objects (intelectual entity) including digital archival materials as well as metadata of analog archival materials and digital objects based on key events records and relations among entities in archive.
The paper describes a parts of the system and steps on the way to the development of the LTP system.
