Abstract
The seminar, organized in cooperation with the Czech Society "Dyslexia", was focused on professional topics related to the key literacy skills of children, especially in younger school age. It focused on the results of research in reading and writing skills, self-evaluation and environmental factors in literacy development, with the possible use of results for school and counseling practice.
Two developed test batteries for the evaluation of literacy skills, which could be used for at-risk groups of readers, were also introduced. In addition to these topics, one research was conducted on adults - persons with specific disabilities in prison.
