Abstract

The article captures the realistic development of hostile behavior of children towards their chosen classmates in two diverse classrooms of different elementary schools. This article partly describes the genesis of this behavior, the current status into which the researches has entered into, and the further development during the school year when the researcher was present in the classrooms.

The peculiar part is the possibility of comparison of how did the school staff itself deal with finding out and dealing with the phenomenon of hostile behavior of pupils among each other and how did this finding out affect further development of the atmosphere in the classroom. Thanks to the concept of the research, (during which the researcher was entering the classroom), when the views of school children were observed from the perspective of the pupils, the teachers, as well as the parents, we have gained an interesting view also into the dynamics of this phenomenon -the hostile behavior among the pupils.

The article's objective is to provide the reader with these perspectives and show, what and how is affecting the potential development of a hostile behavior in the classroom and what can have an affect toward the change for the better.
