Abstract
In the study, I focus on Patočka's late project of research of the "appearing as such". I explain why, in my opinion, some claims Patočka makes in his theory of the "appearing as such" have to be rejected and I sketch new possibilities which open for the project "purified" in the proposed way. (According to my argument based partially on analysis of dream phenomena, one has to reject Patočka's claim that my bodily being among things and together with other embodied persons belongs essentially to the appearing as such, as well as his claim that a phenomenon as such necessarily appears to be and really is a phenomenon of a "reality".)
