The prerequisite for sustainable education in schools is the acquisition and development of such leadership competencies, leading to free decision-making in the public interest and general support for the development of education. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the practical part of the professional training of leading pedagogical staff.
One of the ways is to analyze the competency model by reflecting on the practice of the students of the School Management study program as part of their practical preparation and their application of the theoretical foundations in an authentic school environment that is able to pass management competencies that are in line with the professional profile of the School Management graduate. The paper defines the results of reflection of students, which were obtained during the research focused on the evaluation of practical preparation of the students of the School Management, which was carried out at the end of the summer semester of the academic year 2018/2019 among 90 students of the 1st - 2nd year.
Based on the research, it was found that the students' knowledge acquired in the summer semester of the 2018/2019 academic year reflects its theoretical part in the practical part of the study, and that the schools enable students to acquire selected competences using various educational methods.
