The chapter presents the results of an analysis of selected foreign national curricula for pre-school education. It points to different concepts of curricular documents in terms of formal characteristics (age focus, scope, etc.) and content.
The text focuses on the comparison of aims and concepts of educational content in the curricula of Denmark, France, Ireland and the individual Länder of Germany. At the same time, the text monitors how selected curricula include science content, respectively development of natural science literacy.
