How to see unseen or black holes again in the spotlight

Abstract

After the detection of gravitational waves, which were caused by the collision and merging of two black holes, black holes once again reached the front pages of newspapers and magazines as well as major television news this year in April. Again, the "unseen" was seen: this time it was a "snapshot" of a huge black hole in the center of the galaxy M87, actually of the acrection disc around this black hole, using a very demanding and sophisticated method of radio interferometry with a very long base, namely the Event Horizon Telescope project,
