The paper displays the history behind the picture that were drawn in order to describe (visualise) the Mongolian Folk-Songs by a Buddhist monk Lodoi upon request of Henning Haslund-Christensen during the Second Danish Central Asian Expedition in 1938. These pictures were drawn in the course of recording the songs sung by the representatives of various Mongol tribes and are the unique in that they show the employment of the elements of iconography for secular purposes are the only illustrations to the Mongolian folk-songs known so far.
The paper contains the general decription of the pictures and the way of visualization of the songs, as well as description of the particular details.
