Migration for Better Life: Ethnic Return migration from Western Ukraine: Belonging to Ukrainian Nation and "Creation" of Diaspora
Abstract
During recent return migration of diasporic members from Doneck and Luhansk oblasts were these people labelled as men and women who returned to "home", "to their homeland" or to "country of their ancestors." Nationalistic discourse in relation to diasporic members from Ukraine was always present in Czech political, media or scientific environment. This book provides another point of view.
This book is aimed at diasporic members from Rivne and Volyn oblasts and for these members is identification with Czech nation or Czech homeland almost unknown kind of relation. However, their lives are affected by economic and political problems in Ukraine and this has big influences on their emigration tendencies.
At this moment are their ancestors crucial.
