Abstract

The study focuses on the perception of former part of the Kingdom of Bohemia, which became later autonomous county of special status, in the important works of humanist historians connected with the milieu of Bohemia (the Bohemian chronicle of catholic priest Václav Hájek, the Bohemian history of Jan Dubravius, the Commentaries on the Kingdom of Bohemia and its incorporated provinces of Melchior Goldast, On the state of Bohemia of Pavel Stránský of Zapy). The Kłodzko land is undoubtedly an independent region, which formed nevertheless the direct part of the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Kłodzko is above all a very old frontier defensive castle, on the border between Bohemia and Poland (or, more precisely, Silesia).
