Abstract
This study serves mainly as a summary of available knowledge about the research problem (ie searching for the possibilities of sustainable development at regional level), for mapping the situation and further possibilities of the sustainability solutions. It is a review of the existing strategy papers on sustainable development, ranging from very general, valid at the international level to those relating to development at regional and local levels.
The second part of the document briefly mentions the possible perception of the issue by individual actors, in this case representatives of the Local Action Groups - it presents the results of the pre-research and identifies the research questions for the next phases of the project.
