The essay deals with the problem of fantasy from the point of view of Kierkegaard's anthropology and philosophy of existence. For Kierkegaard, fantasy is a medium that opens the man up for the possibilities of the infinite and thus deepens the interiority of an individual.
The main aim of the text is to clarify the role of fantasy in this process and to demonstrate that fantasy is the inevitable condition of the possibility of self-creation, i.e. existential transformation.
