The paper presents life and work of one of the most influentian theologian of the Assyrian Church of the East Abdisho bar Berikha (1250-1318) called Ebedjesu Sibensis. In more detail study presents his Confession of faith (Amana mar Abdisho ) written in arabic in 1298.
The study underlines trinitarian and christological passages in this Confession, which are apologetically based on the rejection of Islam (the trinitarian part) and the rejection of the miaphysite and chalcedonian christology. It also notes specific terminology.
In conclusion is presented the first translation of this Confession into Czech language. There is also a glossary of key terms in Christian Arabic.
