Abstract

The strategy of the treatment of the NMIBC is based on transurethral resection (TURB) followed with individually tailored adjuvant treatment. Transurethral resection of bladder cancer (TURB) is the initial and critical step in the management of NMIBC, which has both diagnostic and therapeutic roles.

The particular aims of the procedure are to establish the histological diagnosis, determine prognostic factors including the tumor stage and achieve complete removal of papillary NMIBC.
