This chapter deals with one of the basic principles of criminal proceedings - the principle of the public, which is an important guarantee of the fairness of criminal proceedings. This fundamental principle of the criminal process is viewed by doctrinal, normative and judiciary views.
Firstly, the principle of the public is discussed in general. In the chapter there are three important components of the principle of the public, namely public participation in the court hearing, the requirement for public declaration of merit decision and finally the right of the public to information about criminal proceedings.
