The contribution focuses on education transformation in the field of health promotion. The transformation is applied in schools by means of general educational programs developed within the curricular reform.
The paper draws attention to problems accompanying integration of health education specialization into school curriculum and into everyday school practice. Based on outcomes of a survey exploring current situation in the educational specialization, possible solutions are suggested.
The precondition is to adopt changes in teaching study programs, to develop specialized didactics and to motivate teachers to lifelong education in the health promotion field.
