Abstract
Neutropenia belongs among chemotherapy complications. It carries the risk of developing serious infections.
There is also a significant impact on the reduction of the relative dose intensity (RDI) of chemotherapy and the results of oncological treatment. Growth factors of granulopoiesis reduce these risks and recommended indications for their prophylactic applications are well defined.
During a COVID-19 pandemic, greater readiness to use this supportive treatment is recommended.
