Abstract
Henri Rousseau vol. Le Douanier Rousseau is classified as a naive painter, but in many ways he was a highly professional artist, on the other side he never lose his original and at the same time pure view of the reality of life and the regularities of painting.
He enchanted modern artists, led by Pablo Picasso and Guillaume Apollinaire, who saw in his work both the sincerity of vision and dreamlike inspiration.
