Authority, Power and Women in the Catholic Church : Examining the Theme through the Work of H. U. von Balthasar and Adrienne von Speyr

Abstract
The article deals with the theme of authority and power within the context of the role of women in the Catholic Church. Based on the work of Hans Urs von Balthasar and Adrienne von Speyr, it aims to discuss two basic questions: How to deal with the equality of men and women in Christian perspective? Where can we find the female aspect of the Church? Firstly, the article focuses on this theme as reflected in the story of creation and in the Gospel.
Then, it presents the idea of the Marian Church and discusses its relation to the Petrine Church. Last but not least, it sketches a possible answer concerning the role of women.
