The paper is dealing with a development of the heart electrical field analysis. This follows the electrophysiological research of the heart of professor Vilem Laufberger and his collaborators in the second half of the 20th century (spaciocardiography).
The progression of computer technologies enabled development of sophisticated systems for detailed registration of a procedure of depolarization and repolarization of the heart. The Czechoslovakia has not lagged behind and the original diagnostic system Cardiag for analysis of electric heart field (electrocardiogram, vector cardiogram and body surface mapping) was developed following the previous conclusions of professor Laufberger's scientific group (octant vector cardiography).
The Cardiag system was used to analyze the electrical heart field both in healthy persons and in people suffering from various pathological conditions. A tribute to professor Vilem Laufberger is for having reached a similar conclusions with his methods before using a computer to register spatial electrical manifestations at heart.
