Abstract

The study deals with the significance of children?s literature/young-adult fiction as one of the fields in foreign language acquisition. It emphasizes the linkage of language and literary component part, the linkage language and communicative competences.

The problems is analysed from the point of view of intercultural Germanics through the categories ?strange? and ?one?s own?. The study is supplemented by the choice of appropriate primary literature titles.
