Abstract
The Clinton phenomenon is a postmodern deconstruction of the mythical idea of the moral, correct, wise, just, and strong ruler. There should now be no difference between the democratic president and the awful dictator at least as far as the "perverse" features of their sexual lives are concerned.
When the president seems to be an ordinary man with lot of moral failures and perverse strivings, then there is little difference between the president and "ordinary men." All differences seem to be relative in the postmodern world. Maybe the"absolute truth" about all of us can even out a lot of assumed diversities among us.
Are we prepared for that?
