Abstract

The chapter focuses on review of neurobiological mechanisms and dimensions of early social development. It shows connections between early social development with transgenerational transmission of trauma, when parents or other significant people with unresolved trauma create social environment for the child.

One of important mechanisms of such transmission is development of memory systems.
