Abstract

The resorts are situated in a romantic landscape of the Vltava and Sázava valley. It has been largely visited by Prague trippers since the 19th century.

Origins of the resorts were supported during 1897 - 1900 when the last railway section of Praha - Čerčany was finished. In Pikovice, the first holiday villa nearer the train station was built in 1903.

The actual resort development has been, however, dated from 1932. Hradištko, located further, began to be formed until 1929, Brunšov/Rajchardov not until 1934.
