The book by economist and theologian Mary L. Hirschfeld, Aquinas and the Market (Harvard University Press, 2018), brings a welcome connection between theology and economics from the perspective of a qualified professional who has not only appropriate doctoral education in both seemingly distant scientific disciplines, but also practice and experience in lecturing the disciplines as well as sufficient personal commitment in both areas and, last but not least, energy and desire to mediate a useful dialogue between theology and economics.
