In the paper we intend to study appearance of phraseological units in magazines for pre-school children. We analyze in which types of texts the phrasemes appear, the way they are incorpo-rated and explained.
We conclude that in our corpus of texts there is a large number of various phrasemes, which can help enriching the word-stock of children and acquiring the phraseological competence. Phrasemes are found in the texts primarily aimed at language education, but also naturally appearing in fairy-tales, stories, comics', advertisements, jokes etc.
