Abstract
The lecture is devoted to Montessori education in pre-primary education. It deals with the explanation of the basic principles of Montessori education and focuses on the application of these principles in nursery.
The introductory part of the lecture emphasizes on the personality of Maria Montessori and the history of the first nurseries in the Czech Republic. The principles of Montessori education and their functioning in the practice of nursery are further developed.
